The Steadfast Tin Soldier

Hans Christian Andersen

Children (3 - 10)

A young boy receives a set of 25 tin soldiers in a box for his birthday, but the last soldier is missing a leg as there was not enough tin to complete him. Standing on one leg, the soldier falls in love with a toy ballerina who also stands on one leg, until one night, a goblin who is also in love with the ballerina takes the form of a Jack-in-the-Box and warns the tin soldier to “keep his eyes to himself.” The next morning, the soldier falls mysteriously from the windowsill onto the street below. Follow the adventures of the steadfast tin soldier as he struggles to return home to see his ballerina again. A classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen.
