The Emperor's New Clothes
Children (3 - 10)
A vain emperor cares for nothing other than expensive clothes. One day two strangers come to town, calling themselves weavers. These con-men convince the Emperor that they can make clothes from the most delicate fabric that is invisible to anyone unfit for their position. While they pretend to make the clothes, some of the Emperor’s ministers, scared for their jobs, pretend to see the clothes. The Emperor does the same and when the suit is ready, the con-men ‘dress’ him and he parades through the city. Everyone keeps up the pretence, complimenting his fine clothes, that is until a child blurts out that he has no clothes on!
